I watched this episode, like all episodes on Daphne’s right knee. She thought I was reading the copy of Poppy Loves Colours that she had rested on her other knee. She read that kids under two years old shouldn’t watch TV, so she figures by putting the book there and watching the download on a laptop it isn’t watching TV. But, as you can imagine, she gets engrossed I get engrossed, no one’s really paying attention to anyone else. It’s the original mother and child reunion.

i LOVE this programme and this episode just totally explains what is grand about this programme. It’s clever, it’s hilarious and it has machines that go beep-beep when things are going good and beeeeeeeeeeeeep when things are going bad. This programme is helping me get through the hiatus that has come slap bang in the middle of The Sopranos series six – which is a whole other story. It may be because I was born in one, with lots of white coat action, that I love hospital drama but this has ruined me for all other wussy, nicey-nicey excuses for hospital drama, see my bimbo Grey.

I love it when it get’s bloody and it got bloodier than all the other episodes, I love it when it gets tricky and it was oh, so tricky, and I love it when it messes with your mind – YAY!

I need to get something else straight from the get go. People are going to say I am rating this exhibition so highly because the paintings are big, and bright. “Like a picture book” they are going to say. “Awww, look at the little baby looking at the big, bright paintings” they are going to say, “It’s like she thinks she people”. But, I must protest for a scale-whore I am not and I’m not fully convinced I can see colour yet so, they can just go and get all very hungry caterpillar on my arse!

The reason I am rating this exhibition so highly is because I think it’s an installation. It’s like visiting Kelcy Taratoa-Land and making painting a reason for an art gallery, rather than the other way round. The place of identity in the global introduced in Who Am I? is explored again in Episode 0018 but with new form, it’s like the episode where Gregory House gets shot and everything adds up and it’s all wrong.

And it’s big and bright and the curatorial decision to hang everything at push chair height was one of those genius moments that will ensure art critics for generations to come.

I overhear a conversation about “Primer” while in my car seat the Sunday after they saw it. Daphne and Newz Land (who do not want me calling them mum and dad) are talking about second selves and other time lines. Daphne says it is cool because it blows apart any hope of a linear time continuum. Newz Land and her are still trying to work out why there weren’t three cars at the storage unit.

I didn’t see this one (i had a little time travel of my own, the last thing i remember about Saturday night is falling asleep on the breast). After it finished, and despite knowing I could be up at any time screaming for more food, they were compelled to read this article to try and work out what the hell happened. By ‘what the hell happened’ I expect there’s a spoiler – but you probably already know that because you’ve read the article and ruined any chance of enjoying the film – don’t blame me I’m only 11 weeks old.
Daphne woke up in a cold sweet. This could have been because I slept for 3 hours instead of 7 and woke her up mid-REM but she is putting it down to the film, that’s what I hear her say, from my car seat. It’s held together by the script she says, kind of like “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” I imagine. She says it’s like “Infinite Jest”.

Today we went for a walk and it was raining and there were two men walking slowly in the rain on opposite sides of the street. One was sheltering under a book wrapped in a plastic supermarket bag. The other had his head down and was walking into the rain. I think this is like “infinite Jest” but like I said I didn’t see “Primer” and I think by “it’s like “Infinite Jest” she means the time thing rather than the whole thing.
